Mother Teresa's Haven
St. Monica Parish will be hosting Mother Teresa's Haven at St.
Joseph's Hall from May 14- 27. We will be helping serve meals
for these homeless men over the course of these days. If you

AA Meetings
Meetings are held each Thursday evening at 8 PM in
St. Monica Parish / St. Joseph's hall.
Food Pantry
Our Parish will be assisting the St. John the
Evangelist Food Pantry in Pittston.
Non-perishable food items may be brought to any Mass and placed in
the baskets at the church entrances.

St. Monica's
Parish recently donated $1,000 to the Food Pantry thanks to the
generosity of its Parishioners. Please continue to bring your
non-perishable food items to Church. Foods like cereal, pasta,
canned vegetables and canned fruit, peanut butter and crackers are
always in need. Father McKernan is shown in the picture
accepting the food gifts at the altar from Eliana Parra. She
proudly brings up the gifts on Sunday along with other children of
the Parish.
Pediatric
Health Clinic
The Pediatric Health
clinic is now open on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Registration is held in the Seton Building from 4:30 until 5:30 PM
Please bring your child's immunization records with you when you
register.
Parents or guardians must be present to have
their child examined.
All services are free and confidential.
Free Health Clinic
The Health
Clinic is open every Wednesday and is free of charge.
Registration begins at 5:30 PM in the former Seton Catholic High
School and is on a first come, first serve basis.
Greater Pittston Kids Closet
Accepts new or gently used children's clothes in sizes
newborn to 14/16.
The closet is open to the public Wednesdays 9 - 11 AM & 5 - 7 PM,
and
Thursdays 11AM - 2PM. Donations may be dropped off during
closet hours or can be dropped off at St. John the Evangelist Parish
Center Monday-Friday 9AM-4PM.
Veterans Assistance
Luzerne County Veteran Affairs is a fully accredited
Veteran Service Organization available to assist veterans and their
spouses in applying for Veteran Benefits. If you are a veteran
of any war, or the surviving spouse of a wartime veteran and you
need assistance to help pay for in-home health care, assisted living
or other medical expenses, we can help. Call 706-3960 for more
