CCD classes for the 2011-2012 school year began 9/11/11.
Classes are held in St. Monica's OLOS CCD Center (1st-8th) from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM.  If you have not registered your child yet, please do so by contacting Elaine Kelley or visit the CCD office before class on Sunday.  A Baptismal Certificate is needed if your child was not Baptized at St. Joseph's or Our Lady of Sorrows.  Parochial students and High School students must register as well.  A donation of $20 per family is requested.

   Special note to those in Grades 5,6 & 7:  These are preparation years for Confirmation.  It is important that every student attend class regularly.  Your teacher will supply make up work if you are absent.  When Confirmation year actually comes around, if a student is not up to date, he/she will be required to do make up work.

Pre-K and Kindergarten classes will begin February 19, 2012 and continue up to and including April 1, 2012 (Palm Sunday).  Children 5 years and up will be accepted.  Registration forms may be obtained from the CCD office, Parish office, or in both  Churches.  For further information, contact Elaine Kelley.

High School Theology Classes with Father McKernan:  Sunday mornings in the Rectory beginning September 11th from 9:45 to 10:30 AM.  For all High School Students who would like to learn more about our Catholic Faith as it relates to important issues of our day. It is an opportunity to learn more about Jesus Christ and the Bible.

 

 

Adult CCD: a class for mentally challenged adults is being formed at St. Monica's for the Lenten Season.  Please register by contacting Debbie Koss at 693-2958 or Elaine Kelley.  We are also in need of volunteers to assist.

On October 30, 2011 the CCD food drive will begin.  This drive is designed to teach the children that there are other children who are hungry and to teach them about giving to others.  We are concentrating on peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese, and cereal; however, any non-perishable items are welcome.  Please help make this successful- food can be brought to the school every or any week.

The drive will end November 13, 2011.
